Product Requirements Document (PRD) — K-12 STEM & AI Competency Framework Hierarchy
1. Overview & Goal
The goal of this feature is to introduce a comprehensive, multi-tiered Competency Framework Hierarchy for K-12 STEM and AI Education into the EduOne platform. Learners and educators need a structured, granular roadmap that goes beyond standard skill lists, establishing clear progression paths.
This framework decomposes high-level educational domains down to concrete, testable behaviors (Indicators) and sets rubrics to measure student performance objectively.
2. Framework Architecture
The competency model uses a strict 6-tier hierarchical structure:

- Domain (Lĩnh vực Năng lực): Broad thematic fields defining the K-12 STEM/AI scope. There are exactly 6 Domains.
- Competency Area (Khu vực Năng lực): Specific focus divisions within a Domain.
- Competency (Năng lực Thành phần): Particular capability dimensions of an area.
- Skill (Kỹ năng): Atomic, target-level assessable units.
- Indicator (Chỉ số Đánh giá): Concrete, observable behaviors demonstrating skill mastery. Each skill has exactly 5 indicators.
- Rubric (Tiêu chí Đánh giá): A 3-tier measurement rubric corresponding to each indicator:
- Level 1 (Novice / Sơ thảo): The student can recognize or perform the task with high guidance.
- Level 2 (Proficient / Đạt yêu cầu): The student can execute the task independently in standard scenarios.
- Level 3 (Advanced / Xuất sắc): The student demonstrates deep understanding, troubleshooting, or creative application.
3. The 6 K-12 STEM & AI Domains
To support comprehensive computer science and scientific literacy, the platform defines the following 6 domains:
- Computational Thinking (Tư duy Máy tính)
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (Trí tuệ Nhân tạo & Học máy)
- Data Science & Analytics (Khoa học & Phân tích Dữ liệu)
- Software Engineering & Programming (Kỹ thuật Phần mềm & Lập trình)
- Robotics & IoT (Rô-bốt & Internet Vạn vật)
- Mathematical Foundations for AI (Toán học Nền tảng cho AI)
4. UI/UX Functional Specifications
The student and teacher dashboard will feature a Competency Explorer component configured with:
- Interactive Accordion Tree: Nested collapsible elements representing the 6-level hierarchy.
- Mastery Overlay: Visual indicators showing the student's mastery percentage on each node.
- Indicator & Rubric Drawer: Clicking an indicator displays a dedicated drawer with its 3-tier Vietnamese rubric.
- STEM & AI Themes: Visual styling distinguishing the 6 domains using distinct colors and icons.
- Vietnamese Localization: Full translation support for all Vietnamese school contexts.
